Pricing Business Analyst //Pricing domain data owner


Mission – Why the Role Exists


The Pricing Business Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the commercial organization by providing the data-driven insights necessary to embed pricing as a core capability.

 

The mission of this role is to:

  • Support the business (operations and business units) by analyzing key data and providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Drive data excellence // be domain data owner by acting as the domain expert for data acquisition, cleaning, and visualization
  • Key user for pricing/CPQ tool on data and analytics side

Key Responsibilities

A. Pricing Performance Measurement & Insights

  • Monitor price performance to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Standardize measurements across regions to ensure consistent price
    performance tracking..
    Contribute to define / develop pricing performance dashboards

B. Sales Enablement

  • Equip sales teams with data-driven negotiation support and insights to help defend price and protect value.

C. Pricing Tools & Technology

  • Develop BI dashboards
  • Contribute to Pilot new technologies and work with data scientists/BI experts to embed predictive insights into business dashboards.

D. Governance, Process & Data Excellence

  • Improve data quality within global systems by triggering improvement
    processes or deploying new data objects as relevant.

  • Internal: DSI, Sales, Central Pricing, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service
  • External: To be defined

Profil

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or Engineering.
  • Experience: 3–7 years of hands-on experience in pricing or commercial excellence, or business intelligence // data and analytics aspects

 

Technical Skills: Expert level: Advanced Excel, BI tool knowledge
o BI Tools: Proficiency in Qlik View preferred
o Systems: Experience with ERP/CPQ/CRM systems


Behavioral: Strong stakeholder management, resilience, and the ability to work independently in a changing environment.

Travel: N/A


Success Indicators

  • Improved price realization and optimization impact resulting from Action Plans.
  • Successful deployment and high adoption rates of pricing tools and dashboards.
  • Data Integrity: High levels of data quality and "Digital Acumen" across the organization.
  • Enhanced Capability: Increased ability of the sales organization to defend price based on provided insights
